The afternoon
event will be a great way to get in a round of golf while supporting the kids
in our communities. Kids like Deacon, who?was born
with spina bifida, and has been accessing Five Counties programs like
physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language since he was three months
old.??This event will
help more kids get the care they need, raise awareness, and let kids with
physical, developmental and communications needs know they have a community
behind them, supporting them and cheering them on? says Five Counties mom,
Alana. ?Deacon is always moving and always going somewhere, and we credit a lot
of that mobility to Five Counties and all the work they have done with him. We
hope you will come out to the golf tournament and show your support for kids
like Deacon!?

The Rotary Club of Peterborough helped found Five
Counties over 45 years ago when the need for a children?s treatment centre in
our local communities became clear. Year after year, Rotary Peterborough
continues to hold fundraisers and support Five Counties. ?Rotary Peterborough
is proud to continue our support Five Counties kids. The services they offer
are essential to our children and youth and provide them the opportunity to be
their best? says Event Committee Chair and Rotary Peterborough Past President
Wayne Harding.
?
Five Counties feels fortunate to have such a long-standing partnership with Rotary. ?Rotary?s investment in our children is crucial to their success? says Scott Pepin, CEO, Five Counties Children?s Centre. ?With the support of our community partners we can treat more kids each year, enhancing their independence and enriching their quality of life. We are excited to be a part of the Rotary Golf Tournament again this year and hope to see you on the green.?
